Unique architectural designs or standard building construction, the structural engineers of Advanced Engineering Solutions (AES) have designed new and evaluated existing homes in San Antonio and throughout the South Texas region.  We have evaluated the beautiful county homes in Brenham to the Spanish haciendas in Del Rio, the contemporary designs in Austin to the traditional ranch house in Atascosa County.

Having a structural evaluation by an experienced and knowledgeable engineer is a prudent investment in the purchase of a home, the selling of your home, or the remodeling/enlarging of an existing house.  Such an evaluation can give you the peace of mind that what is there is functional and safe as well as provide you with recommendations on how you can improve the property.  Should repairs be required, then the evaluation can provide you with a reliable determination of what is needed and a detailed plan.

The service we provide is a quality investigation.  A typical site visit consists of observing the neighborhood, the specific lot, the house and yard.  A detailed floor plan is drawn up and interior floor surface elevations are measured.  Observations are made of the distress, if any, throughout the exterior and interior of the structure.  This data is than evaluated in our office and a professional report created to document our observations, the measured data and our conclusions and recommendations. 

We frequently provide very specific design evaluations.  Our engineers are adept at investigating localized distress in a home, such as a “sagging” second story floor, water intrusion, etc.  We team with a network of contractors in determining the origin and cause of distress, in providing a repair plan and in working with the contractors during the repair process.
